NOVA Dental Practice in Herdon is a leader in exceptional implant dentistry with Northern Virginia’s award winning Prosthodontist and Dental Implant Specialist, Dr. Tien Ho.

Do you suffer from:

  • Missing, damaged or infected teeth?
  • Loose, embarrassing dentures?
  • Loss of bone associated with long term denture wear?

With advances in implant dentistry, our Herndon implant dentists can provide you with exceptional care that will restore your beautiful smile and enable you to laugh and show off your smile at every opportunity.

It is important to note that replacing missing or damaged teeth is much more than just having a pretty smile.  Replacing damaged or missing teeth can help you improve your overall quality of life. The loss of teeth compromises your ability to eat the food you want, and with dental implants our patients can once again eat the healthy foods they have been missing.

Dental implants are the treatment of choice for many patients who are missing one or more teeth, and are stable, extremely strong replacements for the missing tooth’s root and allow for a natural looking replacement.  Dental implant surgery with Dr. Ho is one of the safest, most precise and predictable procedures in dentistry.

The process for receiving a dental implant begins with the development of a personalized treatment plan, which will be discussed during your consultation with Dr Ho. We will create a treatment plan that meets your specific needs and includes the dental implant option that is ideal for your situation.

Next, a small titanium post, or root implant, is placed into the missing tooth's bone socket. The jawbone grows around the implant as it heals, making it securely anchored within the jaw. Then our implant dentist creates a model of your bite and takes impressions of your natural teeth. Using this model, a customized new tooth is made that is later attached to an abutment, or connector post, on the implant.

After the implant is in place the patient will have to take care of it much the same way they take care of their real teeth. They will have to brush and floss daily and maintain their good dental habits, just as they have always done.

There’s nothing like providing beautiful new smiles to our patients and having them be able to eat fearlessly and comfortably. If you are interested in dental implants, and would like to learn more, you shouldn't hesitate to call our Herndon dental office.
